i love how this verse truly portrays how good of a father God is! this world will drain you, make you anxious, burdened, overwhelmed, scared, and lonely at times but that was never God's design. Because of sin, our world is filled with things that will constantly try to pull us away from God and his perfect peace. But if we truly search for God with our whole hearts we will find him waiting with open arms ready and waiting to embrace us and give us the rest that can only be found in His perfect peace!! This month if all the things in your life start to crowd around you and make you weary, anxious, burdened, or scared try going to God and He will give you rest!!! we love you so much!

woah! what an amazing and empowering verse! i know sometimes i need to be reminded that my strength does not come from how good i feel i look some days or how many friends i have with me, it should be from the Lord!! i should feel confident because i am CHOSEN by God! not some boy or a friend or the popular girl at school/work...God!!!!! when we chase after acceptance from other people for our strength we find our search to run dry or once we do have it, it doesn't last or we have to struggle to keep it! in all scenarios we end up losing ourselves and our sense of self-worth!! then it can become hard to believe you are enough for God!! the being that created you and quite literally the entire universe!! but hey...guess what?! YOU ARE!!!!! and even better...you always have been!!!!!! you don't have to do anything to earn God's love or acceptance! ever!! that being said...we should always find our strength and confidence in Him!! we love you so much!

"You are my hiding place: you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." Psalm 32:7

isn't that so beautifully true!! i personally love where it says that God (the king of the universe) will surround us with songs of deliverance! it reminds me of when i was little and before i went to bed i would ask my mom to sing me the song "you are my sunshine" and i would always feel so peaceful and loved! God wants to do that for us!! he wants to be our safe place we run to, our dad we can always come to and find comfort in!! This month be mindful of who you go to when you are hurting, rejoicing, or have a problem! not saying it isn't absolutely amazing and healthy to have strong, stable people in your life you can go to but God should be our rock. our number one contact! the first person we call to ask what we should do and the first person we should thank!!! always!! with all this in mind, carve out time to bring your troubles and your oh so many blessings to Him and remember he wants to hear it all!! we love you so much!
